Whistler Theatre Project is Passion

Whistler Theatre Project’s second season brings professional summer theatre back to Whistler, BC with its classical, musical, and contemporary repertoire. WTP was created to entertain, enlighten, inspire and bring audiences the magic of theatre through a unique and memorable outdoor experience. All productions are staged outdoors, comfortably seated under the canopy of our incredible main stage tent.

WTP was created by Lynn May Mirfield, Zaib Shaikh and Todd Talbot. The combined knowledge and experience that the founding members bring, and Whistler’s desire for a summer theatre event, launched Whistler Theatre Project. Its mandate is to promote and deliver the highest level of artistic excellence while fostering the imagination of artist and audience alike.

Whistler Theatre Project enjoyed an incredible first season launching with Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Close to of 5000 people attended the show over 34 performances! The response to the first season was overwhelming both in attendance and in corporate support. The community of Whistler has embraced WTP as an integral part of its summer cultural program, and is investing in its sustainability and growth.

Whistler Theatre Project is a registered not-for-profit, charitable organization.
